Horse transporters, with the authorisation actually checked

Every UK site in this market says its transporters are "DEFRA registered". None of them show you the record. The Animal and Plant Health Agency publishes the register of Type 2 long-journey authorised transporters every month as open data, so we cross-checked the whole directory against it and put the authorisation reference on each profile.

230 Commercial carriers Filtered from a larger list: roughly a third of the APHA register is racing yards, studs, airlines and private owners rather than carriers. A further 93 hold authorisation but have no public business presence, so we hold them without publishing a page.
124 APHA authorisation verified Matched to a Type 2 authorisation reference on the published register.
19 Publish shared loads The scarcest and most useful group. See them all.
39 Work internationally Advertise Ireland, the EU or further afield.

Carriers who publish shared loads or scheduled routes

If your dates can move, start here. These operators run routes on a cycle or sell space on a part load, which is the only reliable way to pay less than a dedicated rate.

All 19 shared-load carriers

By region

Grouped by the APHA office that issued the authorisation, which is a rough proxy for where a carrier is based rather than a precise one. Where we have found the actual base town it is shown on the profile.

A further 106 carriers are listed without a regional office we could map, including operators based outside the UK who hold a UK authorisation. See those.

Is this your company?

Your profile is here because your authorisation is on the public APHA register, not because you signed up. Claim it and you can correct the details, add your routes and list spare space on a return leg. Hoofline does not take a commission on your rate, and listing is free.

Email carriers@hoofline.com with your authorisation reference.
